If you have all but given up on growing plants in summer only to have them wither and die from the blazing hot sun, don’t lose hope yet. The Judge Solomon Azalea’s ability to withstand almost any summer conditions will have you breathing a sigh of relief in no time!
The Judge Solomon Azalea is one of the best sun and heat-tolerant evergreen Southern India Azaleas. It has a rapid growth rate and is 8′ tall with an equal spread at maturity. Judge Solomon tends to have an upright growth habit and features single pink flowers, 3 inches in diameter that nearly cover the foliage and bloom in spring.
As with other azaleas, King Solomon prefers well drained, humus-rich soil and will tolerate full sun but appreciates some shade during the hottest part of the day. Judge Solomon Azalea is most exceptional as a natural hedge or in small to large groupings in landscape beds.
